I may find myself in Christchurch in July. Is there any point in going to Arthur’s Pass looking for Rock Wrens, or would they be buried deep beneath the snow?

Hi John, Very little chance there in winter. They are hard at the best of times around Arthur’s Pass. There are plenty of other good birds to be had in the Christchurch area though. Cheers
