RFI – Visiting Birder to Sydney – Latham’s Snipe, General Shorebird

Tun Pin Ong, With so much water everywhere migratory waders are very thinly spread this year. I think you can all but forget Penrhyn Road. As for the Spotted Quail-thrush I have a site near Richmond, just to the West of Sydney. The problem with Spotted Quail-thrush in my experience is that although they are resident in any given area, they are often not at the same spot. Here are a couple of images from Comleroy Road, near Kurmond taken a few days ago.
