RFI Lake Cargelligo Bird list

I offered to redraft the Lake Cargelligo bird list while I was there some weeks ago. I have drafted a rough new list but it occurs to me one of the best resources for such an exercise is the subscribers to birding-aus. If any of you out there would like to have a look and compare with your own list please reply to me off line and I will forward the draft. I am also drafting some rough birding routes for the area and any suggestions in this department would also be most welcome.

Hi Tim,   Re: the Little Stint, do you mean the Long-toed Stint reported from there on the 26th September 2011? This record was not accepted by the NSW ORAC so should probably go onto a “supplementary list” of sorts (unless there was a Little Stint we missed??).   Mick

Yes, I do, thanks Mick. I agree re the supplementary list, as many of these birds wouldn’t be included on a general list (you could probably scrap Goldfinch and Tree Sparrow), and what do you do with Koel and Red-winged Parrot for example.

    Cheers,

    Tim
