I was talking to my neighbours on Sunday afternoon and asked them if they had seen any unusual birds. My neighbour said, “Like that one behind you?”
Sure enough, the Buff-banded Rail walked out from between some tussocks in my front garden!
My neighbours have seen the Rail in their back garden off an on over the the last month or so.
