For those who may be interested, Bill Rutherford has reported a Red-necked Phalarope on Lake Baghdad, one of the salt lakes on Rottnest Island off Perth. It was seen on Monday (30 Aug). One or two Red-necked Phalaropes seen almost annually on Rottnest each summer, but they hadn’t been reported for a few years.
