re RFI… etc / Gluepot update

Hi all, Kay is correct, Scarlet-chested Parrots continue to be seen at Gluepot. Due to the good conditions, and influx of birders, other interesting species have also been recorded. These include Bush Stone-curlew (nearest known recent sightings some 60km away), Yellow Rosella (normally confined to the river Murray some 50 km away), Painted Button-quail, Painted Honeyeater (although they’ve moved on again), Redthroat, and recently small flocks of Cockatiels and Budgies have turned up. There is also good breeding activity of the resident species including Red-lored Whistler, Striated Grasswren and Black-eared Miner. It’s all run by volunteers so if you do head out there, don’t forget your entry fee (or a donation can be made on-line at the Gluepot website). Or feel free to contact me (below) for further details. cheers Peter
