Off Topic – Mystery Frog call

This is probably a Great Barred Frog (Mixophyes fasciolatus) but is in eucalypt habitat (not rainforest) on a neighbour’s property near our home, it’s been baffling us for ages

    Tom,

They certainly sound like fasciolatus to me. In the Watagan Mountains behind Lake Macquarie NSW they occur on dam edges in drier Eucalypt forests. I thought I heard a White-throated Nightjar calling towards the end, but maybe I imagined that?
