Dear All,
I received the latest issue of Australian Geographic this morning. Among the accompanying bumf, was a flyer for a new edition of Nevile Cayley’s “What Bird is that?” Has anyone had a look at this title? I would be interested in any feedback from anyone who has.
Cheers,
Carl Clifford ===============================

Carl,
Yes, indeed. There was a lovely review written by Alan McBride a few weeks ago. http://bird-o.com/2011/08/03/what-bird-is-that/
It’s a beautiful book. I have a copy too … my kids love it. It is superbly reproduced and historically fascinating. One of those books that will be treasured for many years to come by anyone who buys it as well as their successors.
Regards,
Simon.

Hi Carl,
Alan McBride recently wrote a review on the book, you can find it here: http://bird-o.com/2011/08/03/what-bird-is-that/
Rather than a bird book think of it as a piece of history and art, though it also has some interesting old names for birds in it.
Cheers, Chris
