Neal Junction report 26-28 Sept

Xenia Dennett, John Graff, Martin Cake, Greg Howell and myself were at Neale Junction looking for Princess and Red-chested Parrots, 26-28 Sept without success. In general it was very quiet and although it had rained about 3 weeks before and there were some plants flowering, the birds were clearly finding it better fare elsewhere.

The highlight of the trip was excellent views of Rufous Crowned Emu-wren, 1 male and 3 females, 5.2 km south of Neale Junction on the Connie Sue Highway. They were feeding 10-20 metres from the road and parallel to it so we were able to follow them along for about 200 yards over half an hour. Apologies for the late post. List below:
