Went for an anniversary lunch at Stanley Pub near Beechworth and arrived early so headed up into the nearby Stanley SF (just before midday). While wandering around 6 Needletails flew over heading north west (I think) – there may have been more as they were single birds and I may have missed the first ones (though no more flew over after a few minutes). Area was tall (at least for me) Eucalypt forest with pine plantation nearby. Weather was warm with scattered clouds (building up for storms this afternoon hopefully?) but no rain. Hope this helps.
