HI all,
I will be in the Kimberley for the next 2 weeks and would appreciate some
advice. I will be with the family, so very limited dedicated birding time,
but it is my birthday, so they have to tolerate a bit of birding.
Never having been there before I have a hit-list as long as your arm but 2
in particular wold be good to see: Black Grasswren and Hooded Parrot.
I understand the Grasswrens are in the Mitchell falls area. We will be
there for 3 nights (2 full days). Any tips re. good locations?(I know there
hard to find: just humour me!)
I understand Hooded Parrots are possible in the Pine Creek area. We have a
night there on the way back to Darwin, so may have an hour in the morning.
Again, tips re. good spots wold be appreciated.
And of course, any tips for any good birds or spots anywhere between
Kununurra, Mitchell, Mornington and Purnululu would be very welcome.
TIA
Paul
