Is this an outstanding year for crakes and rails for some reason?

David, I was in Bermagui area last week and saw my first ever Baillon’s Crake at Cuttagee. Have you seen them there previously?

We saw a Buff-banded Rail at Pilliga Pottery, north of Coonabarabran in early November. We were told it had arrived a few weeks previously and was the first sighted on the property.
