Important New Information on Night Parrots

There has been some confusion surrounding this matter. John Young had confirmed reports that a feral cat was responsibility for killing a Night Parrot in the small population of this critically endangered species that he discovered in south-west Queensland.  John’s research colleague on the property where the parrots occur, Dr Steve Murphy, has sought to clarify this. Steve says that in fact there is no evidence that a cat killed a Night Parrot.  People are invited to have a look at what Steve says – he also makes important points about other issues surrounding the Night Parrot – and make up their own minds: http://sunshinecoastbirds.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/important-news-regarding-night-parrots.html Greg Roberts DATE: Tue, 10 Mar 2015 18:42:16 +1100 Im confused…it has been confirmed as being killed by a cat by John as well as being confirmed that they have no idea what happened to it and it may not be dead by Steve? Cheers Angus
