Hi
I have seen Silver Gulls and many of the herons/egrets puddling with
their feet in the sand/mud to expose food but yesterday was the first
time I had seen Hooded Plovers doing this. The pair on the NSW South
Coast were following the waves out, puddling and pecking at what ever
they had exposed before running back as the next wave came in.
