hikers caught unawares by fire in Litchfield Park

This article demonstrates how easily one can be caught unawares by grass fires.

Although gamba grass isn’t mentioned that the hikers mention a “wall of fire” suggests that it is so – the Park is badly infested with this weed. In the past Litchfield Park rangers have expressed their fear that people would be caught in gamba-fuelled fires.
