Help with Flycatcher Id

Ken,

It is usually difficult to name the Myiagra females and juveniles from photographs. Would help if you say exactly where in the ACT you saw it.

I would lean towards a Satin, but they should already be in their breeding territories up in the mountains by now – they don’t breed in the hills around Canberra.

If you are keen on watching Satins and Leadens, especially near one another, they used to breed in adjoining territories up Two Sticks Road.

Have a look at my website – there are lots of pics and some useful notes.

Cheers
