Gavin Thomas (a friend of a friend, and Wader Project Officer for the RSPB) is arriving next week for nearly 3 weeks for a wedding in Mudgee. He needs help finding good bird sites. Can anyone please contact him by email to suggest various places between Sydney and Mudgee (and I suppose a bit beyond).

I’ll be in NSW from this Monday until 13 November so any good birding gen in the area would be much appreciated. I’ve a good few trip reports off the internet and will hopefully be able to pick up a copy of the Thomas and Thomas site guide from somewhere in Sydney. A friend of mine is getting married in Mudgee so any sites between there and Sydney are likely to get a visit from me! Blue Mountains clearly being one such area. If you can send any up-to-date site / species gen through I’ll be checking my g76thomas@hotmail.com e-mail now and again.
