There was even misinformation to the effect that the bird was released but it was indeed killed in the name of science. Yet another example of trophy collection over well being of an endangered species. There was no census in that area before it was deemed feasible to “collect”. There really should be checks against these pseudo-scientists visiting remote places and hoodwinking both people and wildlife in the name of science. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marc-bekoff/ridiculously-gorgeous-rar_b_8201720.html?ir=India&adsSiteOverride=in http://www.amnh.org/our-research/staff-directory/chris-filardi Please write to the PM, and forest and tourism ministries of Solomon Island to protest this act. pspm@pmc.gov.sbpspm@pmc.gov.sb> psforestry@pmc.gov.sbpsforestry@pmc.gov.sb> pstourism@pmc.gov.sbpstourism@pmc.gov.sb> __._,_.___ ________________________________ Posted by: Pritam Baruah < doublebulb@yahoo.comdoublebulb@yahoo.com>> ________________________________ Reply via web post • Reply to sender doublebulb@yahoo.com?subject=Re%3A%20Moustached%20KF%20-%20male%20seen%20for%20the%20first%20time%2C%20captured%2C%20killed%20by%20scientist> • Reply to group orientalbirding@yahoogroups.com?subject=Re%3A%20Moustached%20KF%20-%20male%20seen%20for%20the%20first%20time%2C%20captured%2C%20killed%20by%20scientist> • Start a New Topic • Messages in this topic (1) This group is run in association with the Oriental Bird Club.
