I am sending this again as I accidently included a picture and it was distributed as a text file which is harder to read. The Pallid Cuckoo is an irregular visitor (migrant) to the Clarence Valley north coast NSW. In some years they are very common and are seen or heard daily while in other years they are absent. My only record this year in the Valley was of a juvenile on Woodford Island on Saturday November 16. Rufous Songlarks are even less regular than the Pallid Cuckoo. A couple of years back they were present at a few local sites and individuals have occurred over the years. My only local record this year is of a lone bird at Southgate Creek on November 14 and 16. It wasn’t observed there during a brief stop on November 21. Brown Songlarks are very rare locally. Regards Greg Dr Greg. P.
