Fw: Brahminy Kites

A comment from Steve Debus. It would be useful if the observer was able to contact Steve directly to expand on the observation. The thing is that fledged cuckoos will beg to and get fed by anything, including multiple species that didn’t raise the cuckoo in their nest. If the Brahminy Kites raised the Channel-bill in their own nest from egg to fledgling, this is significant and should be properly reported in an archived journal, not just in some online chat forum. I wonder if a newly fledged Channel-bill could just commandeer a stick nest and try to get fed there by whatever owned the nest.
