Fraser/Birds in Their Habitats

Hi Folks

A plug. I have just finished Ian Fraser’s Birds in Their Habitats, and enjoyed it muchly. A very deft blend of descriptions of field experiences (some truly amazing) and the relevant ecology, natural history and evolutionary biology; crisp, clear, and very up to date. If anyone is looking for a gift book for a birding mate (including a gift to self), I would recommend it very highly.

I guess for the record I should say that I have never met the author, and have no fiancial stake in the book!
