It has just been brought to my attention that, in the first paragraph of the Sydney pelagic trip report, I refer to the highlight of the day being a Red-billed Tropicbird. Well, I really wish that it had been but it was of course Red-tailed as described elsewhere in the report. I had just been having a discussion as to whether the bill of this bird was paler red indicating a possible sub-adult or whether it was the fact that we photographed it into the sun – hence my preoccupation with bills! That’s my excuse – the other possibility is that it was a senior moment. Cheers Roger
