    Julie Good question. A recent thread here commented on cuckoos with unusual mouth marking which suggested it gave young cuckoos a favourable feeding advantage. Maybe this overrides the password. Another part of the ongoing evolutionary jigsaw.

    I read an abbreviated version of this report from a recent news clipping. It made me wonder. If this is true how could a cuckoo survive to be raised by a Fairy-wren?
