Yes Tony, Glenn Holmes saw it on Sunday 20 Feb but didn’t see it on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that it has gone.

We went back on Friday pm for a short while around 4pm but didn’t see it then.

Darryel Binns from Darwin is at the Eyebrowed Thrush site today – but so far – 1.00pm Monday it has not been seen.

Yes, and four of us who flew up from Adelaide on Thursday also had excellent views for about 30 mins at about 4.30 -5.00. Very nice bird, it hopped about on the grass under the fruit trees very obligingly. Some very nice pictures obtained too ( but not by me).

Group of four were Trevor and Hazel Cowie, Enid Pascoe, and myself.

Got back about an hour ago.

I enjoyed that one Jeff! If anyone would like to view or download the BARC form it can be found here: http://www.tonypalliser.com/barc/barc-home.html I Have been quietly attempting to catch up with BARC work – but it really is an effort with such a rush on rarities and the backlog that has accrued over the last 6 months or so.

Most impressed and of course gripped with re the Eye-browed Thrush photos.

    Cheers, Tony

Being a monopoly BARC doesn’t need to tout for business. Cheers Jeff.

Yes indeed, good photos for an Eye-browed Thrush:-)

    Thanks Jeff, Alan et al…

    Thanks Alan,

Very nice photos by Jun showing a lot more detail than yesterday including a white throat and faint white tips to the greater coverts, so I would now suggest it’s a first year bird, probably a male judging by how grey the head is. Definitely not a Grey-sided Thrush.

    Cheers Jeff.

Thanks Tony. Could you tell me what is the record for the fastest submission of an accepted RARC rarity report?

    Regards, Laurie.

As far as I know Grey-sided has a brown head and does not have the warm colours to the sides of the breast either. Regards, Alan
