Dear All,
Those who are familiar with the work of caricaturist Ralph Steadman, may be interested in his latest work “Extinct Boids”. The book is collaboration with Ceri Levi and while looking at the demise of species such as the Dodo, Passenger Pigeon and the Great Auk, the work also looks at lesser known species such as the Needless Smut, Gob Swallow and Long-legged Shortwing. The work is published by Bloomsbury.
A possible Christmas or whatever gift for the birder with a sense of humour, which also seems to be a species in decline.
Cheers,

This is a rather late reply, but my copy of this book arrived yesterday and it’s amazing. I’ve been a fan of Ralph Steadman for longer than I’ve been interested in birds, so it was a perfect book for me. Some of the money from each book goes to Birdlife International too, so there’s another reason to get a copy
