Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania – Pelagic Reports 3&4 Sept 2011 – photos

Hi Nikolas,

Some cracking photos there. Image number 9490 (#39 of #83 in the sequence) caught my eye; the light may be playing tricks on me due to the bird’s head-on approach under cloudy skies, but the head looks pearl-grey, and as such it appears a possible contender for Atlantic Yellow-nosed Albatross. I don’t think I could claim it on the strength of the photo, but was it considered on the day?

Cheers
