Driving from Iron Range from Weipa

Hi all,

I’m planning on driving from Weipa to Iron Range in mid October.

Can those that have driven before please share with me how long it took them to drive.

I’m finding from Internet searches the drive can take anywhere from 5 to 9 hours!

Also, are there any roadhouses on the way. I assume you can divert slightly to Archer River.
