Cow playing with Cattle Egret

Hi Folks, Two of our guests this week came across a cow with a Cattle Egret in its mouth and was vigorously shaking it around. They did not know if the cow had killed the egret as it was already dead when they first saw it, anyone else seen this behaviour?. We have posted an expanded report onto our blog this week – Link in signature.

Not quite the same scenario but during my research on the Black-necked (Satin) Stork for my PhD I observed cattle and horses that aggressively walked towards loafing storks. They appeared to resent the presence of the storks in their area. The storks usually stood up and walked a short distance away until the cattle or horses lost interest.
