Cobourg Peninsular N.T.

G’day Birders,

Has anyone been to this part of Arnhem Land? I know some new birders who are part of a Conservation Group going into Cobourg for a bird count survey. They will be there for the migratory waders among other species.

What could they expect to see in August?

Many thanks for any help. Happy Birding Burney

Yes, I’ve been there, guiding birders in the vicinity of Seven Spirit Bay. But I had to work with a driver not particularly interested in letting us get near shorebirds. So I know what else is there, but little about the shorebirds. If you like I could contact an Iwaidja traditional owner to see if they could help.
