foot quivering in thrushes

Peregrine info, please

Having watched a season of Peregrine nestcams in the USA (where the birds are migratory), I’ve shifted to the livecam in Orange (NSW) (& hope again to see the Collins St (Melb) nestcam come online soon too). The bird now occupying the ledge /nestbox in Orange appears so far to be the same individual. http://www.csu.edu.au/special/falconcam/Streams/camera-two.htm . . . → Read More: Peregrine info, please

Is the solution to spherical aberration in optical equipment on the way?

It would be nice if it reduced the cost and weight of quality optics

see www.gizmodo.com.au/2019/08/a-mexican-physicist-solved-a-2000-year-old-problem-that-will-lead-to-cheaper-sharper-lenses/

[I would like to see the equation laid out on a single line [even if it were a metre long]

Power outage at Cornell affecting eBird

See https://emergency.cornell.edu/.. There would seem to be a fair chance this is why eBird servers are down at the moment (and have been for some hours). Martin Butterfield http://franmart.blogspot.com.au/
