Greenfinch in Mulgoa Valley

Hi All There was a Greenfinch in a tree on the Mayfair Rd creek just below the bridge on Mulgoa Rd, picked up by its characteristic call yesterday. Greenfinches were resident in Penrith about twenty years ago but otherwise not seen since.

Chukar partridge in Bacchus Marsh

Following my post about Koels, I’ve had a question about whether they parasitise Magpies. I thought they concentrated on larger honeyeaters.

Does anyone know? I don’t have HANZAB to hand, unfortunately.
