Carnarvon duck

Just had a look at air fares to Geraldton from Adelaide – It’s worse than Broome !! Absolute minimum would be over $1000 return, and up to $1500, depending on when you went. Then there’s car hire and fuel to get to Carnarvon and accomm and food at Geraldton/ Carnarvon. Stupid ! It would be cheaper and easier to cruise around Brisbane in a submarine. Ok Philip , I’ve seen the light. Goodbye duck.

    Stephen,

I thought all the tick twisters were heading to Carnarvon.

    Carl,

Take one of those tick twisters with you. You’ll be able to remove the ticks easily instead of bringing them back. :-)

    Yours in jest, Stephen

I have just paid $1,285 for a fully flexible return to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah via Singapore. Two weeks shared car hire, internal airfares and accom plus food will add up to $700 extra to the cost. I will probably have more ticks than one duck by the time I get back.

I have not factored in the possible cost of any ransom payable to the Sultan of Sulu’s guerrillas if the current argey-bargey blows up further while I am there :-)

    Cheers,

    Carl Clifford

Come on tones, I checked out prices for you last night, flying out tomorrow and back Monday/tuesday and the cheapest was just over $700…. A $40/day car, up and back for under $1100 all up. Wouldn’t want to be considered a cheap skate, would you :-)

Yeah well I checked this morning and there was one flight for Monday at $554 and $620 return on Thursday. All the rest were $600 + +each way. More than one bird is worth I fear.
