Am currently ‘tagging’ some static-sensors on North Stradbroke Island Queensland from December 2012 and have found some buttonquail calls, I’m fairly sure that they are Painted but can’t find any records on Birdlife ‘birdata’ or Ebird databases. Does anyone have any experience of Turnix species from the island? hi Tom, is there any reason why they wouldn’t be Black-breasted’s calling there on the island?? i’ve never been there so unsure of what habitat is like, but i’d have thought it would support a small population of them… just a thought… cheers, Martin Cachard, Cairns 0428 782 808 _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
