I have just been advised that the Maritime Services Board has issued a licence for waterskiing to take place on Bushell’s Lagoon, a top birding spot in the Hawkesbury area, north west of Sydney. A slalom course has been built down the centre of the lagoon. I urge all birders to write to Tony Burke, Eric Roozendaal and Hawkesbury City Council to oppose this travesty.
