From what I can discover, there is one record of Bridled Tern in NSW (off Wollongong, Nov 1994) and a pair bred at Baudin Rocks in eastern South Australia in 1968-69. Hope to see a few other birders at Bancoora this afternoon! Hi all, Bridled Terns have been recorded in NSW more than once. The NSW ORAC has accepted 6 records, the last of which was during the Cyclone Oswald ‘blow-in’ in late Jan last year. During that same time a remarkable report of 31 of them came from Ballina, but that record hasn’t been submitted to ORAC. There was also one on a Wollongong pelagic in Nov 2009 and off Sydney March 2012.
