  Hi Max,

  I spoke to the Principal of the Field of Mars centre near you a short while back and he reckons they can be seen roosting there from time to time. The Powerful Owls being more commonly seen than the Boobooks

  Can only agree, alistair. I heard a Powerful Owl calling about this time of night, earlier this week, at croydon, vic. Tried to record it but body wasnt too interested in getting up to see it. Must have been passing through, as not quite usual habitat for PO’s.
