Black Bittern, Shining Flycatcher, Pale-vented Bush-hen, Ground Parrot at Tin Can Bay

Highlights of a pleasant three-day visit to the south-east Queensland fishing village of Tin Can Bay included a Black Bittern, 7 Shining Flycatchers, 4 Pale-vented Bush-hens and 5 Ground Parrots flushed along a 400m stretch of road nearby at Cooloola. Also memorable was a very pleasant encounter with Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins which are hand-fed here.
