Birds on the Cairns forshore in June, the displaying of Victoria’s Riflebird and finding the Golden Bowerbird

Hi all, A big thanks to all the people who have sent me excellent ideas and suggestions. I contacted John Chambers at lake Eacham, and for those with little kiddies, he was very baby friendly. John told me something very interesting about the Victoria’s Riflebird, that it takes 7, yes seven years for the young males to get the dark blue full male colouring and that during June the males seem to practice displaying. John was not sure if it is just the males getting their full male colours or all the males. This seems incredible to me. Happy birding, Patrick
