Fairy Martin (Hirundo ariel) (20+) Fairy Martins back in good numbers collecting mud from river bank, usually nest under South Rd Bridge. Blue-billed Duck (Oxyura australis) (2) Blue billed Duck , two males just coming into breeding plumage and beginning to display. On deep small pond alongside main wetland area. Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) (1) Single bird same area as Common Sandpiper. 5 other Greenshanks observed towards Beacon 19. Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (Calidris acuminata) (14) Small group was feeding close to the boat ramp at Beacon 19. Wedge-tailed Eagle (Aquila audax) (1) High above the Goolwa Channel. First time sighted in this area.
