Also of note in Tangari Regional Park close by , 2 pairs of Tawny Frogmouth roosting only some 150mts apart, they appear to be tolerating close company. Reported by: Peter Doecke on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 ——————————————— Date: Sunday, June 15, 2014 Location: Buchfelde near Gawler Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater (Acanthagenys rufogularis) (1) Single bird seen quietly fossicking in Peppercorn tree. First time seen in my garden. I was looking at a number of Crimson Rosellas noisily feeding amongst the Peppercorns when I spotted a Honey-eater quietly moving around the edge of the same tree. After about 10 minutes it obligingly came out into the open during short spell of sun between showers. Location Two Wells Road between Gawler and the Northern Expressway.
