Photo taken from Kianawah Rd Ken Doy Square-tailed Kite Mt Coot-tha–JC Slaughter Falls Great views this afternoon Rob Morris Latham’s Snipe Minnippi Parklands In it’s normal sighting area ,the strip of vegetation just off from the island, usually quite shy and keeps some distance. Ken Doy Fri 5 Sep Latham’s Snipe Sandy Camp Road Wetlands 3 birds landed in third lagoon from road. jeremy wynne Yellow Chat Bajool – Port Alma Road, Port Alma 4 Yellow Chats – macgregori (1 x male and 3 x female) observed on the northern side of Bajool – Port Alma Road, in the usual site immediately west of the saltworks. Unfortunately, no photos were taken (always happens when you don’t have a camera!). Carla Perkins, Ralf Regeer Thu 4 Sep Striped Honeyeater Sandy Camp Road Wetlands 4 birds seen flying between the main track and the peninsula jeremy wynne Wed 3 Sep Swift Parrot Gould Adams Park, Kingston Three birds sighted high up in a flowering eucalyptus at 8.00 am. Difficult to find. Location given away by their call. Soon chased away by a Noisy Miner. Simon Graham Mon 1 Sep Eungella honeyeater Chelman’s Road, Eungella NP Thanks to the new Dolby/Clarke book we were able to locate this endemic honeyeater precisely where it was supposed to be! Finding it and photographing it was quite a challenge. It is an extremely elusive bird. Hedley & Irena Earl Sat 30 Aug Chestnut-breasted Mannikin New development on Dohles Rocks Road, Griffin on right just past Bruce Highway Small flock of Chestnut Breasted Mannikins sighted on waste land behind new roadway. Pip Grant-Taylor Grey Falcon Bowra Station Homestead/camping area One bird flew over the Shearers’ Quarters at 8.30 am heading east. It was later seen flying near the main gate by two other observers. This was only the second sighting at Bowra in August, the other being on August 1st. Barry Davies and George Diggles
