EARLY BIRD registration for the BirdLife Australia Congress & Campout is Friday 17 August. At $80 this is an absolute must. A downloadable registration form may be found on the BirdLife Australia website or contact BirdLife Northern NSW at northernnsw@birdlife.org.au. The Congress will be opened by Bob Brown, retired Greens Senator and leader. His opening will be followed by the presentation of the Serventy Medal to Richard Kingsford, who will then present a paper. These two notables will be supported by an excellent range of speakers during Saturday and Sunday. So get your registrations in ASAP. Ordinary registration at $100 is still an excellent deal and that closes on Monday 27 August.
