The only bird I saw all day was a single stationary turkey. Sad.

Hi Tony and all,
I was more fortunate.
Old age and ill-health saw me relaxed in an easy-chair in my daughter’s home. On a farm near Warwick, Qld. Chair in a sun-room with extra entertainment in the form of a beautiful male Blue Wren checking around the windows on a number of occasions.
Obviously much too smart to be looking at his reflection. No, he was checking the spider-webs. I guess he’d take a spider if he found one, but I reckon what he was mainly gathering were insects attracted to the house lights the previous night and caught in the webs.
Anyway, delightful to watch.

Friends up the road saw Frigate Birds of some description in the eye of the cyclone. I wish I had looked out at that time, in that direction. As the birds flew over the Curtain Fig I’ll see about adding them to that list. All the best for the new year, Alan
Not as sad as where it is now. I managed to get out, saw quite a few Latham’s Snipe and Little Lorikeets.
