    While I was away at Baradine at the Gould League Bird Study Camp recently the police were called out to shoot two Torresian Crows in Grafton that were attacking people near an aged care facility. This divided the local residents many of whom apparently thought that it was an overreaction as no-one had been hurt. This is the first report that I have received of Crows attacking people.

    Clearly Magpie-larks do swoop but much more rarely than Magpies. I’ve been swooped by Grey Butcherbirds – they are serious threats I reckon. There was a Little Raven that had a go at we cyclists here a couple of years ago. I’ve not heard of Ravens swooping and DSE’s article doesn’t mention them.
