A friend is asking for the ID of a baby bird found in Cooranbong, NSW. A pic is at: http://s12.postimg.org/vwgvxyrct/Baby_Bird.jpg My thought is a Channel-billed Cuckoo? Thanks, Jeff Crocombe

Of course I meant ‘very’. The joys of typos!!! Greg —–Original Message—– Sent: Tuesday, December 24, 2013 12:40 PM I agree with Jill. Nothing else has a hairdo like a juvenile Satin Bowerbird. An adult female usually brings her offspring of the year into our yard at Coutts Crossing, north coast NSW, each year. They are vary eccentric looking young birds. Regards Greg Dr Greg. P.
