Sunday 2nd October, about 11.30 a.m. (DST) – a female Aust. Shelduck perched on a post in Banyule Swamp – apparently resting. It’s a very long time since I last saw one hereabouts – they used to come occcasionally back in the 1980s when the Billabong surroundings were grazed by cattle.
