Australian Painted Snipe at Alice Springs Sewage Ponds

Hi Birders, Word is getting around that Barb Gilfedder saw an Australian Painted Snipe at the Alice Springs Sewage Ponds today while looking for our Pied Herons. (Good work Barb!) Like those Herons, this is an important bird for Alice Springs- I’m not sure its the first ever but they are certainly few and far between. I’ll be at the site from 6.15am tomorrow (Mon) so if anyone wants to come look for this special bird I’ll meet you at the gates.
