‘ARABIAN’ Shearwaters in Bonapartes Gulf – CONGRATULATIONS

Just wondering if these birds could have been blown across the Indian Ocean on unusually strong ocean gales? If the Arabian (Persian) Shearwaters forage in the Indian Ocean, say as far south as the Seychelles or the northern tip of Madagascar, then it is conceivable that they’ve been blown directly east to waters off the coast of Darwin. I guess we will never know unless DNA samples are taken.
