In addition to the juvenile Oriental Plover, we found an adult Asian Gull-billed Tern (G. n. affinis) at Kakadu Beach, Bribie Island, today. Important note: It is in a ‘No Access’ zone to protect shorebirds – roosting visitors and breeding Australian Pied Oystercatchers, Beach Stone-Curlews etc. The birds can be easily seen from the two hides and the footpath between the hides.
