Barbary Doves again (Vic.)

Re the appeal for Barbary Dove sightings in Melbourne – as reported on Birdline Vic recently, I saw one bird at their old favourite spot near the mouth of Kororoit Creek, on Maddox Road in Williamstown. Either someone’s letting them go in that area or the previous breeding population there had more birds which dispersed away from the site but have returned. Cheers George

    Thanks George

I missed that but I believe DPI monitors Birdline Vic so that is another way of letting them know.

But I am sending a blind cc to them with this to make sure (noting S Davidson reported one there on 21 Oct 2010 too).

Incidentally there was another single bird at Ricketts Point, Beaumaris (near the Life Saving Club) about a month ago.
